Volunteer With Us

Compassion creates change. Connection builds community.
If you feel called to be part of something meaningful — something rooted in hope — you’re in the right place.

Anchored Wings Initiative is growing, and we’re building a network of people who care deeply about suicide awareness, grief support, and reducing stigma in our community.
Right now, we are gathering names of individuals who want to be involved when opportunities open.

You don’t need special skills, a diploma, or a particular background.
You only need a compassionate heart and a willingness to show up.

What volunteering may look like

As we continue to grow, volunteers may be needed for:

  • Community awareness booths and events
  • Peer support group setup / hospitality (sign-in, coffee/tea, greeting attendees)
  • Behind-the-scenes admin or organizing
  • Photography / social media / creative design
  • Fundraising support or donation drives
  • Helping assemble resource kits and materials
  • Sharing our message within the community

We do not provide crisis counselling or clinical mental health services.
Volunteers do not respond to crisis situations or provide therapeutic support.

Why volunteer with Anchored Wings

People impacted by suicide loss often feel alone, unseen, or unsure where to turn.
Your presence — even behind the scenes — helps create spaces of compassion, connection, and community.

Volunteers help make it possible for someone to walk into a room and feel:

  • less alone,
  • more supported, and
  • anchored in hope.

That matters.
